At Dr. Kane Aesthetics Co, profhilo can be used to improve the skin’s texture as well as to soften lines and wrinkles. Profhilo also acts as a preventative skin treatment by stimulating collagen and elastin in the area treated. Profhilo treatment is commonly used together with dermal fillers and anti wrinkle injections to achieve optimal results.
What Is Profhilo
Profhilo is a type of Skin booster, injectable treatments designed for deep skin hydration. Profihilo gives a plump, glowing appearance to the skin of the treated area which can include the face, neck and chest. The injectable nature of the treatment ensures that the product can penetrate deeper than topical moisturisers or facial peels.
Profhilo treatment is made up of hyaluronic acid, a compound that exists naturally within the skin and unlike dermal fillers is not cross-linked (meaning it is fully absorbed into the skin and does not change the shape and structure of the face). Profhilo skin treatment effectively stimulates the production of your natural collagen and elastin from the skin within. This nourishes the skin cells and restores firmness. Profhilo deeply hydrates the skin giving the overall appearance a more youthful look. The skin tightening effect of profhilo can be combined highly effectively with dermal fillers which address the volume loss underneath this. This combination approach of profhilo and fillers can result in some of the most natural-looking rejuvenation cosmetic work possible.

Is Profhilo Dermal filler? What is the difference?
No Profhilo is not a dermal filler.
It also does not do quite the same job. Dermal fillers are a clear gel that maintains its shape when injected. Fillers are used very effectively to address the volume loss areas of the face however are often targeted more to one area.
Profhilo on the other hand works to improve the area (such as the face) as a whole rather than targeting one specific line or wrinkle. As profhilo does not hold its shape it means it does not affect the overall face shape which aids in a natural subtle result.

Where can profhilo be used?
Profhilo can be used anywhere where we have an issue with skin texture, lines or wrinkles. The common areas that we treat are;
-
Face
-
Neck
-
Decollete
-
Hands
-
Arms
The treatment protocol is the same for each area that we treat. We would recommend 2 sessions of profhilo spaced 4 weeks apart. Usually, this involves 10 superficial injections into the skin of the area that we would like to treat. We use plenty of numbing cream to improve the overall comfort of the treatment. Maximum results are visible approximately 1 month after the 2nd session.
