What is Skin Pen Microneedling?

The skin pen micro-needling device contains 12 needles, and the very tip of these needles are used to create small micro channels within the skin. This electronic device is powered by a motor that enables the needles to move rapidly back and forth while the pen glides across the specified areas. This action causes the wound healing response to be activated.
Throughout the course of this process, your skin produces growth factors that will, in turn lead to the generation of collagen and elastin. So, when the microchannels are created, your skin is tricked into thinking it needs to produce more collagen and elastin to help the skin ‘heal’, which will result in rejuvenated appearance.

How is a Skin Pen Microneedling performed and how long does it take?

Microneedling sessions are relatively quick to carry out, taking approximately 45 minutes to an hour. To begin the treatment, a thorough cleanse of the skin is followed by passing the device over the treated area. The skin therapist will monitor the patient throughout to ensure they feel as safe and comfortable as possible. To finish the treatment, moisturiser and SPF is applied to the skin, and the patient will receive a skin pen Post Procedure Kit to use at home..
Is Microneedling painful?
